Schools play a vital role in creating a safe and inclusive environment for children and young people to learn. A school culture of responding to and reporting bullying behaviour is critical. Two recent anti-bullying conferences highlighted the latest research about effective intervention strategies and evidence-based tools of support.
The Keeping Children Safe from Bullying conference was held by the South Australian Government Department of Education. The focus was on a community approach to reducing the impact of bullying on children and young people. International researchers, practitioners and community representatives came together to explore effective prevention partnerships.
